PUZZLE PIRATES

I am a little late in sharing this, but Puzzle Pirates is another mmo that join the ranks of others on Steam. This isn't a big surprise in the least, being that Spiral Knights, which is also made by Three Rings, has been on steam for a bit now. But either way, I see it as a welcome addition.
To top it off, since Puzzle Pirates is a new addition to Steam, they have a special offer for those of us to join the ranks with our Steam accounts:
Now I am not sure if this offer will last for a full seven days, or till the end of Sunday, but if you’re at least interested in the game, it is worth popping in early to grab the items. Also, as per to Steam’s ways, the game does come with a hefty amount of achievements, to those who like to collect those. In the case of Puzzle Pirates, this stacks up to 217 different achievements.
For those who never played the game before, it is a very unique mmo. The game blends pirate theme with puzzles. The puzzles aren’t challenging and are based off various popular ones such as bejeweled and Puzzle Fighter. People may mistake the game as “for kids”, but the truth of the matter is there are a lot of adults who play, some who make crews just for others in their age brackets.
One of the most notable features in the game, which keeps me interested, is the player driven economy. It isn’t as light as some games have it, but make it so most anything in the game is player made. From the ships, the weapons, and even the layout of islands, players have control. You can get involved in the politics of running a crew, or even managing an island. (If your flag takes it over) So despite its looks, it does have quite a bit of depth. The main problem with the game is however the repetition of the puzzles, but if you’re like me, you fix that by dragging yourself to the poker table and take other pirates ill gotten money.
If you enjoy puzzle games, a mix of economy, or just want to play something a bit different, I do reccomend checking out the game.
